While I talk about an array of topics like wellness and body image on the blog, my primary goal is to inspire you to live your best life. I always love getting feedback from my readers, and one question I’ve received is, “how are you so inspiring all the time?” Well, the truth is, I can’t take all the credit for coming up with the inspirational tidbits I share with you. Often times, I’m curating bits and pieces of inspiration from the people I follow (and love), reflecting on it and presenting it in a way that I think will help you.
After going through crazy health and disordered eating issues, I needed all the inspiration I could get. So, I started absorbing as much content as I could that would help me heal and fall in love with myself. It’s actually incredible how much quality self-help and advice you can get from the internet and social media, a lot of which is free. I can honestly say that these people I’m about to share have positively influenced my life and my health right now. Seriously, even the fact that I have the energy to contact these people, write this post and be able to concentrate on it, is a huge blessing and can certainly be attributed to the work that I’ve done over the past couple of years along with the inspiration I got along the way.
I know you’ve probably already made some goals and intentions for 2018, but it’s often helpful to have an online virtual coach or community to support you along the way. Follow along these amazing inspiring wellness people and join their communities. Their work will certainly guide you to be your absolute happiest and healthiest.
5 Inspiring Wellness Women to Follow in 2018
1. Meg the RHN
If you haven’t heard me talk about Meg before, you’re in for a sweet treat! I first discovered Meg through her podcast, the Nourished Podcast and was drawn into her story because it was so similar to mine. She too struggled with disordered eating for many years and has since gone through incredible healing and self-love journey. She’s actually my holistic nutritionist and is helping me get to the root of my gut issues and heal me from the inside out. She’s incredibly uplifting and inspires people to nourish their minds and become in tune to your body in order to have freedom! I highly recommend getting to know Meg’s work and listening to her podcast with Shawn Mynar. She’s an essential oil expert and soon to be author of a book! Also, check out her new Unbreakable Babe self-love coaching program and be sure to follow her on Instagram for daily posts that make you feel absolutely amazing about yourself.

I first discovered Michelle after reading her guest blog post for Maddy Moon about intuitively eating with food sensitivities. The topic so relevant to me because I had just learned to overcome fear foods and then learned I had food sensitivities. I was immediately drawn to all Michelle’s work as she shared her healing journey with thyroid and gut issues. Her blog and podcast, Unbound Healing are an excellent resource for anyone with an autoimmune disease or who has any type of gut issues. Let’s not forget her amazing recipes – I pin every single one that she posts! She’s a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner so you can even work with her virtually to get to the root cause of your health issues! I was honored to write a guest blog post about distinguishing gut healing and disordered eating on her blog a few years ago. Oh, and if you’re just looking for some support to heal your gut, Michelle even has a gut healing Facebook group I’m a part of! Unbound Wellness is always growing with new resources and guides, too. Follow along Michelle on Facebook and Instagram.
This inspirational lady is one of my newest discoveries. I actually first heard her interviewed on Meg’s podcast where she shared her health journey and how her relationship with money had affected her digestive issues, stress, anxiety and overall health. As a person on a healing journey of my own, I never really thought that my mindset around money could be preventing me from healing. Mandyy has tons of tips and guides to help you minimize anxiety about your finances and make more time to do the things that you love. I especially love following her Instagram where she shares thought-provoking content helping you bring awareness to financial stresses. Give Mandyy’s interview on the Nourished Podcast a listen and be sure to follow her on Instagram and Facebook. Oh, and if you also want some additional support, be sure to join Mandyy’s Facebook group Debt-Free Women.
Like many of the other inspiring women here, I first discovered Davida through a podcast: Let it Out by Katie Dalebout. I was really intrigued by her openness about her relationship with food and her body along with her authentic content. Davida is the gem behind The Healthy Maven, a website designed for women to live a healthy and full life. She shares many wellness tips and delicious recipes all while being open about her struggles. Davida stresses that living a healthy life shouldn’t become your whole life and that what’s healthy for one person may not be for another. I especially admire her as a businesswoman as she’s completely transparent with her readers about what her job as a blogger is and how she makes money. My favorite place to get to know Davida is through the Healthy Maven podcast where she has incredible conversations with wellness people. I’m also a member of her online community, the Healthy Maven Tribe and enjoy catching up on her YouTube videos when I’m relaxing. 🙂 I aspire to have a well-balanced life and beautiful business like Davida some day.
